Join us this weekend for the Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting in San Diego, CA. The event will be hosted Sunday, June 7th from 3:00-6:00pm.
Wine & Roses is presented in combination with the San Diego International Wine Competition, which is directed by syndicated wine columnist, Robert Whitley. In the competition, wines are given Platinum, Gold, & Silver Medals. Winning wines are featured at at the charity event and proceeds benefit the charity of the Sisters of Social service and Camp Oliver, a camp for children.
This year both Riunite Lambrusco & Bolla Sparkling Rose won Gold Medals. Diane Nares from Banfi will be showing those wines, along with: San Angelo Pinot Grigio, Castello Banfi BelnerO, Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino 2010, Unparalled Sauvignon Blanc, Bolla Torr’Alta, & Rosa Regale. Rebecca fell in love with wine — Castello Banfi Brunello in particular — on a cliché semester abroad in Italy. A Texas native, she has traveled to wine regions throughout France, as well as to Portugal, South Africa, and across the U.S. In addition to earning a BA from Duke University (Go Blue Devils!) and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Rebecca holds an Advanced with Merit certification from the WSET and was a founding contributor of the popular wine industry blog Terroirist.
